In 2015, I was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome, a rare disease, and suddenly became bedridden due to complete nerve paralysis.
I could no longer paint as I had wanted, as I lacked the strength in my hands.
During my long hospital stay and rehabilitation, sewing, which I started to train my fingers, became the catalyst for new creative work.
As I continued sewing, my body gradually recovered, and now my paralysis is almost completely healed, allowing me to live a healthy life.
In this uncertain world where unavoidable situations can suddenly arise, I want to continue creating things that are tangible and feelable.
This exhibition will include paintings I created before my Guillain-Barré disease, as well as the first beanbag I made while hospitalized.
