Just as marine life travels the oceans of the world,
I hope that my artwork will also travel the world,
reaching many people, and journeying through many different places.
This is the title of my solo exhibition.

I would love for everyone to see the growth process of Honami Hanada as she moves to a new stage.

Honami Hanada, Aquatic Life Painter
Using aquatic life as her theme, she depicts the resilience and transience of life. The flowing lines she creates by carving layers of paint express "the breath she feels from that life." While creating pen drawings, she felt a sense of unease about continuously generating waste, and turned to Japanese painting pigments such as rocks, soil, and seashells, leading to her current mixed-media works. She also dedicates herself to upcycling art, breathing new life into discarded buoys (floats) and giving them a new life.
