JNJ (JUNJI INOUE)

Various Inoues. Exhibition

March 13, 2024 (Wed) - March 17, 2024 (Sun)

12:00-19:00

The last day is until 6 PM.

It's always like that.

It starts unexpectedly.

It begins in a fleeting moment.

Before you know it, it's already started.

It's not that I'm being guided, but I'm not being swept away either. It's not coincidence, inevitability, or fate. I just think that's how everyone lives. When I work hard, persevere, and manage to secure time for myself, I can create my own work. When I'm tired and stressed, I do nothing. I watch movies, drink coffee, and sometimes even go on a trip.
Something started from a place I stumbled upon while cycling around town.
That's all it is.
I've drawn various pictures, so I'm going to exhibit them.
That's all it takes to feel truly alive.
It's simply enjoyable.

I'll draw a portrait of your beloved dog or cat!
JNJ's portraits place great importance on the texture (flow of the fur). Each strand is hand-drawn, capturing the flow and characteristics of your pet's fur to express your one-of-a-kind dog. After applying, we will schedule a date, and please come to SUT together. Artist JNJ will take photographs to create a portrait. If you can provide images from various angles that clearly show the flow of the fur, sending them as digital data is also acceptable.
