For Valentine's Day, why not give a zine along with some comforting slow food?
SUT offers a selection of foods that reflect a deep commitment to quality. These are foods carefully and diligently crafted with the hope that everyone will enjoy them.
From Onomichi, Hiroshima Prefecture, we have USHIO CHOCOLATL chocolate. Now a major trend, USHIO CHOCOLATL was the first in Japan to start the Bean to Bar chocolate-making process, manufacturing chocolate from cocoa beans to finished product. They visit the cocoa bean producing regions, sharing meals and conversations with the farmers to feel the vibes of the surrounding environment. This chocolate embodies a soulful dedication, infusing the "background of the cocoa beans" into each bar.
From Tosayamada Town, Kochi Prefecture, we have DADA NUTS BUTTER. Roasting nuts, manufacturing nut butter, bottling, packaging, and sales are all done by hand on the second floor of a red reinforced concrete building. The Hirawa Chinsuko, a cookie imbued with the Waketake Welfare Association's desire for peace, is made without lard, using locally produced brown sugar and other ingredients, resulting in a crispy, gently flavored treat.
This event also features items that are born from meticulous attention to detail, from ingredients and manufacturing methods to design and distribution. Through the stories of these "foods," we hope to encourage reflection on "what slow food is" and provide an opportunity to truly engage with food. We also hope this event will inspire you to embark on a journey to explore each of these brands.
Because it's a gift for someone special, you want to give "food" or "drinks" that are carefully crafted with attention to ingredients and design.
