HOTEL SAN DIEGO
2019.10.20 wed - 11.3 sun.
Ryo Inoue's photo exhibition.
That day, my door opened.
And then my world began to expand rapidly.
I left Tokyo and traveled to San Diego.
A far, far away foreign land, SAN DIEGO
When you stay in a traditional house that is 120 years old
It made me feel nostalgic.
The journey gave me a strange feeling.
And the city of San Diego,
I took a picture of it and brought it home.
Welcome to HOTEL SAN DIEGO
It's a very nice place.
They are wonderful people.

Ryo Inoue's photo exhibition "Hotel San Diego" has themes of encounters and connections between people. The venue, the SUT 2nd floor gallery, used to be our gathering place. We were drawn to the former owner's personality and gathered there, drinking and talking whenever we had the chance. We took over and transformed it into a gallery, and now our friends are holding photo exhibitions here. And now the former owner lives in San Diego. The dirty walls have been painted white, but the stains from the white table where we drank together back then remain as part of the wall.
