sonor aims to be a brand that is kind and supportive to the user by using domestically sourced materials and creating each item with care and attention.
The pigskin we use is certified eco-leather, making it kind to both people and the environment. It's a by-product of meat production, and nearly 100% domestically produced leather is incredibly valuable. We hope that by introducing this material to more people and encouraging their use, we can help connect Japanese craftsmanship to the next generation. A product that resonates with the user, making everyday life a little more enjoyable.

Akiko Sonoda
Akiko Sonoda
Born in Fukuoka Prefecture in 1978. Studied fashion design at a junior college and vocational school. Through raising children, she came to appreciate the importance of environmentally friendly and future-oriented manufacturing. Believing that knowing and sharing the materials created by Japanese craftsmen will lead to a better future, she continues to create things.
