there's a row house built in the Taisho era, over 100 years old.

Before I knew it, I'd been here for 8 years.

Space Utility TOKYO.

Commonly known as SUT,
will celebrate its 8th anniversary on September 1st, 2026.

It's a shop selling zines and miscellaneous goods, a gallery, a risograph studio, and above all, a laboratory-like place where people with a desire to create something gather, and where new projects and encounters are born.

In an era that often seems lethargic,
there are people who aren't just silently passing the time,

with a burning energy hidden deep within their hearts.

We've been accompanying such people's "I want to try!" desires by 'creating' and 'selling' their work.

A free culture that defies convention
Items that cherish the texture of paper and other materials
And the energy of the people who gather here

Open this sliding door, and you'll find yourself in a "cultural crossroads."

This 8th-anniversary exhibition will feature zines, miscellaneous goods, and art pieces that were born at "Risosta," which opened last November.

For the past five years, we've been captivated by the endless allure of risograph printing.

"Risosta," which finally opened in November 2025, is still in the midst of trial and error, both operationally and technically. However, at this 8th-anniversary milestone, we hope to showcase where SUT currently stands.

With heartfelt gratitude to all the artists and customers who have been involved with us, we are holding this special exhibition.
