Tea Master: Tajima Yoshiki
Evening Tea Ceremony
October 30, 2024 (Wed.)

19:00 - 20:30
Next session: Wednesday, February 19, 2025
Enjoy a luxurious moment savoring tea brewed by tea master Yoshiki Tajima, who travels around Japan visiting tea farmers and exploring the possibilities of Japanese tea.
Tea gathering to enjoy in the evening
Each time, we carefully select 5-6 types of tea leaves from Japanese, Chinese, and Taiwanese teas. At the beginning of the gathering, we present a "tea menu" and serve the teas in order.
While serving the tea, tea master Mr. Tajima engages in conversation about the history of tea, the region, and its current state. Participants diligently take notes and ask questions, creating a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere.
The venue is dimly lit, and the sounds of the traditional Chinese instrument, the erhu, gently envelop the ambiance. There's a term called "tea intoxication," and some participants even experience a feeling of lightness, as if their bodies are floating.
In the quiet night of the city, the SUT venue transforms into a world of its own, allowing you to savor the tea at your leisure.
