TSUKASA SUZUKI PROJECT

heART 2025 ~ART exists within the heart~

January 22, 2025 (Wed) - February 2, 2025 (Sun)

12:00-19:00

Open until 6 PM on Sundays and the last day of the month / Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays

A project to empower "young artists" around the world to forge their own paths in life through art.

In Tsukasa Suzuki's project "heART," he has taught art to over 50 children in Rwanda alone, purchased approximately 400 of their works, and sold over 250. One boy, the youngest of nine siblings, was unable to attend school and was forced to live by begging. By purchasing just one of his paintings, he was able to provide the boy and his family with enough money to live for about a month. There is a very strong light in the children's artwork. It is the power to live. It embodies the spirit to escape their given circumstances. These are works of art that are full of life, unimaginable from their still innocent faces.

→Tsukasa Suzuki Profile
Born into a family with an ancestor who was a Sokushinbutsu (a Buddhist monk). In 2011, he moved to Rwanda, Africa, and while working as a fashion designer, he taught sewing to over 200 people over five years. After returning to Japan in 2016, he began painting seriously. His creative activities draw inspiration from Africa, India, Japonism, 80s pop, and psychedelia. At the same time, she teaches painting to children in Rwanda and sells their best works in Japan and the United States through her "heART" project.
