A project to empower "young artists" around the world to forge their own paths in life through art.

In Sho Suzuki's project "heART," he has taught art to over 100 children in Rwanda alone, purchased approximately 800 of their works, and sold over 400. One boy, the youngest of nine siblings, was unable to attend school and forced to beg. Purchasing just one of his paintings provides enough money for the boy and his family to live for about a month. The children's artwork possesses a powerful light—a life force, a spirit to escape their circumstances. These are works of art imbued with a life force unimaginable from their innocent faces.

heART × Risograph Printing

Risograph printing, originating in Japan, is attracting attention from artists worldwide. The unique layering effect of stencil printing, its analog texture, and the unexpected finish—what kind of chemistry will emerge from the artwork of Rwandan children through risograph printing? Enjoy the unexpected new "heART" resulting from Rwandan art and Japanese technology.

→Tsukasa Suzuki Profile
Born into a family with a lineage that includes a Sokushinbutsu (a Buddhist deity). In 2011, he moved to Rwanda, Africa, where he worked as a fashion designer and taught dressmaking to over 200 people over five years. After returning to Japan in 2016, he began seriously pursuing painting. His creative activities draw inspiration from Africa, India, Japonism, 80s pop, and psychedelia. Simultaneously, he teaches painting to children in Rwanda and sells their excellent works in Japan and the United States through "heART."
